Brandy Repairs Utah recording finished?

After a  six year wait (hell I just saw that the last news posting on here was form  a little more than 4 years ago.) the Brandy Repairs Utah recording is finished and set to be released next month. It will be called "Beautiful Dreamer" and is a good representation of what we are about, if it is 6 years old. (All three of us have grown tremendously as artists and are looking forward to the next, long-overdue, session.) The project is a 2-CD release and features 93 minutes of music by Koorosh Daryaie and myself, and Merkus Alcus' cryptic writings. Percussionist, KD also told me he is working on some more remixes so maybe expect a CD of some Brandy electronica as well? Who knows? This also marks the first project I have mixed and completed by myself at the hollowed, Urban Nerds Sanctuary in Sherman Oaks.

There are many reasons as to the long delay, family crisis, me going back to school, apathy, time conflicts, and then there was losing hours and hours of work that I had done on the recordings. Recently. I read some new poetry by Merkus Alcus and got inspired to finally complete this before I get old.

You can hear and download a preview for free (donations kindly taken and appreciated) @ http://urbannerds.bandcamp.com/album/beautiful-dreamer for a short time up until the official release in May, and then it will be widely available at all of the usual places: Amazon, iTunes, CD Baby, and what not.

Cheers!

Hey!! Yeah you...

Daren here:

Just put up some remix MP3's from Koorosh of our music. Click the Audio Tracks link above to check them out. They sound pretty damn good!

Also, news page and calendar page is now up as well. No broken links.

Lyle is coming from Chicago next week and we are hoping to do some more recording.

I am actually inspired to re-edit all of Lyle's vocals again. The first time, I edited in Bias Peak for about 18-24 hours and then erased them all. I have been so pissed, I haven't even felt like starting again. But now, I feel a little rejuvenated.
